The next character card is Dante Laveau, the last and hidden son of Marie Laveau and the Voodoo King of New Orleans. I wanted to add something different, some other kind of “super-power” which I had never seen used in a steampunk book and voodoo fit the bill.
“The man had brown skin and was wearing an expensive suit that was immaculately tailored and pressed. Looking up, he gazed into the golden eyes of the brown man, his face surrounded by long black dreadlocks that ran down onto his frock coat like tamed serpents that had been captured in the dark jungles of Africa.” (Chapter 8)
